having walked around a little bit in the electronic city of Munich, I have to
say: real is better than virtual. As a born Munich inhabitant("a geborner
Münchner"), I missed the symbol of Bavaria, the so called Bavaria. By
the way there are some accepted procedures to eat the Weisswurst, you may be
even allowed to suck them loudly. It depends, of course. All the best to
you.

I really enjoy your site. I absolutely love Bavaria. I have been several
times. My favorite is Garmisch. I will be visiting again shortly, hopefully

Loved Bavaria especially Munich!! My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay

I spent my high school years (66-69) living in Garmisch and attending the
American school in Munich; it was a magical time in my life. Garmisch has a
charm that Aspen couldn't buy at any price. And Munich? Well, there just isn't

Hey! We visited Bavaria this past May of '95 on the recommendation of friends
that live in Landau (Rheinland-Pfalz).The visit was much too short and we have
made a pact to return in 1997 to stay longer. We're finding great info on what

Visited Garmish back in 1990. Had a great time. We were directed to a tour
agency downtown that took us to all the castles, monistaries(sp), and other
interesting places for a very good price. I believe it was mainly catered to
American military personnel (thats how I found out about it). They took us in
the back doors of a lot of the castles, where most of the tourists didn't go.
The country is beautiful, we hope to visit it again some day.

Your page deserves to be rated highly by POINT. Very, very nice. I have a link
to your page from my humble one -- and I'm still searching for a page from
Gunzenhausen -- Frankenmuth's sister city. I downloaded mail last night and
found letters from Switzerland and Germany, referencing a TV show that was
filmed here last summer, and shown over there. One of the letters came within

I spent the Month of August in Germany, and France, I't was my first time to
Europe, and I truly enjoyed the country, what impressed me was how clean it
is. We visited castles in fussen,Bavaria. and also visited Lake Bodensee,
which i recommend to anyone visiting. We took the ferry from Meersburg over
to the Insel Mainau, the island was gorgeous so many flowers, also visited
Bamberg, the Basilica Vierzeheligan, they have amazing churches.

Ich hab heute zum ersten mal bei Euch ein bißchen rumgeschmöckert.
Das ist alles ganz gut und schön, aber als Bayern-Fan muß ich doch
eine riesige Kritik anführen. Unter "Sport" ist mir aufgefallen,
daß da steht, der FC Bayern ist dreimaliger Deutscher
Fußballmeister. Das kann doch wohl nicht stimmen. Dieser Verein ist
Rekordmeister und ist von drei mal wirklich weit entfernt. Wenn ich recht
informiert bin, dann ist der FC Bayern schon 13 mal Meister geworden. Nehmt
diese Kritik nicht zu ernst. Ich finde Es wirklich gut, was ihr da macht. Ich
bin nämlich nicht nur Bayern-Fan sondern ein echter Bayer und finde es
deswegen sehr gut, wenn es im Netz so was gibt. Macht weiter so! Günther

I've had the opportunity of visiting Bavaria three
times within the past five years; once on business and the last two times for
pleasure. I believe that the Bavarian countryside is among the most beautiful
in the world. Also, I have always been impressed with how friendly and
hospitable the "locals" are. My wife and I are visiting friends in London

I have been to Bavaria three times as a tourist and I think it is just

Although I do speak and read some French it is not my firstlanguage. When I
went to see how many people had visited this page I was interested to see
I was number 73. I reached that page from the English home page but when I
went back I was on the French page. There isn't an obvious way to move from
lanuage to language. I'd like to read more but as I said, French isn't my

You are bookmarked forever!
In the 1950's I spent 3 great years in Germany and 18 months at Neubiberg with
the 317th TC Wing of C-119 "Flying BoxCars". Munich and Bavaria were
delightful then as they are today. I well remember the evenings at "P-1" or
"pay einz" to the rear of the building at Prinzregenten Strasse and nearby
"Studio Seventeen". I have returned a couple of times, in 1985 and 1991.
Additional returns are ahead. I have several nice photos that I will scan and
send later if you would like to have them. One, in particular, St.
Bartholomews Church at Berchtesgarten and Linderhof near Oberammergau. I
remember climbing to the top of the Kofel there, it overlooks Oberammergau.
You're busy and I'm holding up your progress so have a good day. I would
really appreciate the opportunity to correspond regularly with a Bavarian.
Also, if you can determine how to email a liter of that good beer, my tankard
is open. Thanks for what you are doing for Munich and Bavaria!!Sincerely,

I really like your page. It's different from the usual commercial ads that
point out all the tourist traps. I'm from Munich myself, so I can tell yours
is a good guide. (Even though I just hope it won't attract any more tourists
