Culture
I became restless, wanting to leave the world of beer, business and bottom lines, driven by something resembling a Santa Ana wind - Munich's famous Föhn straight from Italy bringing Italian temper along - I headed for the town's cultural offerings. Retracing Einstein's steps when he spent some of his school years here, seeking that cool and fresh air Kandinsky, Thomas Mann, Maria Rilke, Bertolt Brecht and many others maybe not as well known enjoyed. It took me quite a while to fantom this astounding density of museums, theaters, art galleries and exhibits for a city geopolitically as remote, so where do you start, possibly with the Valentin Muséum, (a crazy Bavarian comedian from the thirties), the Deutsches Museum , or for a more classic fare, a very representative suite of paintings in the Lenbachhaus of the "blaue Reiter" (blue horseman) period.

It was raining in Munich and we were waiting for the spring to overcome a winter refusing to let go, May can still be a bit chilly but finally the sun breaks through and the Bavarian blue in the sky shines with a few clouds recalling the "bulginess of so many church tower tops" in the pre-alpine regions surrounding Munich.
