When the sky over Munich and
the Bavarian flag look alike, the city becomes irresistible! The lady
next to me at the same table must be thinking the same thing, but I
bet she is not from here, not the height, her eyes are too dark and
she doesn't seem to appreciate her meal, spleen stuffed with veal
sweet-bread (also called the "farmer's wife tail"). It looks like she
lost control over her legs, no more change in her purse, and a strange
expression on her face after celebrating four days at the
Oktoberfest in a row.
You just can't imagine a fest of such
dimensions, huge solid tents with thousands of beer drinkers, cigar
smokers, doing bench "shunkeln", each one in a row holds the neighbors
arm and sways to the left and right to the rhythm of the "hum-ta-ta"
(Bavarian "country" mostly played on brass) band.
