Belly dancing puppets

On your leisurely walk from the Monopteros to the chinese tower you'll notice a very familiar melody, the pink panther's theme. A young gentleman in black suit and top hat magically controls a lusciouly dressed belly dancer. You have certainly seen beautiful belly dancers, but have you seen some whose hips and tops take on their own life and dance free of "physical correctness" ? (99 K - 7/9/95)

Russian melody(276K - wav)

in what is probably Munich's best acoustical location for street musicians, church like ceilings giving a smooth but vibrant echo, protected from bad weather or the sun's heating. You can't miss it, when you are in front of city hall and watch the famous 11 am Glockenspiel, slighlty to your right you'll notice the Spielzeug Museum and arcades to the left. That's where you can find groups from all countries of the world play folklore, russian balaleikas, peruvian pan flutes, austrian strings, you name it... (7/1/95)

Rhytm & blues, Mr Guitar (225K - wav)

Strolling through the english garden, not far from the Monopteros and the Chinesischer Turm (chinese tower) an unmistakable "strato" sound will tickle your ear drums. A local hero whose name has appeared many times in the local press, a stranded american with the "New Orleans" touch spins off your dreams playing solo on his guitar and well tuned amp.

Bavarian brass, the chinese tower ensemble(311K - wav)

That's what one would call a real institution, an at least 10 piece ensemble in traditional bavarian outfits stationed on the first floor of the chinese tower. If you thought you were listening to a recording, think again. These guys have been blowing brass for as long as we know, they take serious pauses to reload air and fluids. .(7/1/95)
